Colourful Origami

IMG_8143Sometimes you just can’t motivate yourself to leave the house, so it’s nice to find something to shoot indoors without the inconvenience of getting changed out of your favourite pyjamas. No idea where these came from, or who made them, but they looked nice scattered randomly by the window, lit by nothing more than a spring sun.

Hmmm. The Kawasaki Rose (version 1). I remember reverse engineering this from pictures and a guide to the 2nd version. I went to Japan recently, and attended a sort of ‘Origami for visitors’ type session. There I requested to learn the rose, and I stated that I used to fold this a long time ago, but always kept forgetting it. My teacher exclaimed, “How do you know the Kawasaki Rose?!”.
